    Spirited Miami’s Bartender

    Gui Jaroschy was born and raised in Austin, Texas where a love of food, drink, and hospitality was instilled at an early age. He is the co-founder of Unfiltered Hospitality, a full service consulting and brand development company based in Miami, FL.

    Gui was named one of Food and Wine Magazine's 10 best new mixologists in 2015, Starchefs Rising Star Mixologist in 2016, and Spirited Miami’s Bartender of the Year 2018. He was also featured as one of Miami New Times most interesting people of 2017. As Director of Bars for Bar Lab, Broken Shaker was twice a semi-finalist for the James Beard Award for Best Bar Program, named Best American Hotel Bar 2015 and 2017 at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards and made the Drinks International list of 50 Best Bars in the world 2014-2017. The Anderson Bar was named one of Esquire Magazine’s Best Bars in America 2017.

    Over the course of his career Gui has designed menus or collaborated on products with Williams Sonoma, British Airways, The Smithsonian Museum and The James Beard Foundation.

    Ben Potts is the co-owner and creative director of award winning bars The Sylvester and Beaker & Gray as well as co-founder of Unfiltered Hospitality.

    He is a native Miamian who began working in bars in 2009 when he decided to follow his heart and leave the world of investment banking. Since then he has been selected twice as one of the Top 10 Bartenders in Miami by the Miami New Times and nominated for Best Bartender in the city by Eater.

    Potts was formerly director of training and bar education for Blackbird Ordinary, Purdy Lounge and The Bar in Coral Gables. In 2014, Potts partnered with longtime friend Chef Brian Nasajon to create Beaker & Gray, Wynwood’s go to spot for cocktails and modern cuisine. Beaker has been recognized as one of the best restaurant bars in Miami as well as a 4 time winner of The Art of Tiki cocktail competition at Sobe Food and Wine Festival.

    In 2019 Potts opened The Sylvester, a cocktail bar ode to old Florida. The Sylvester won Spirited Miami Best Cocktail Menu 2019 and is consistently recognized as one of the most innovative bar programs in Miami.

    Josue Gonzalez is a Miami native with a true passion for hospitality. As a culinary student at Johnson & Wales University, he accepted a barback position at Zuma Miami to gain industry experience, setting a decorated front-of-house career into motion.

    Josue found a friend and mentor in renowned Miami bartender Rob Ferrara, helping both achieve great success with openings at Swine Southern Table & Bar, Lure Fishbar and The Rum Line. As an individual, Josue was named one of Zagat Miami’s 30 under 30 in 2014, and went on to win and place in the top of various cocktail competitions.

    As part of the opening team at Sweet Liberty Bar & Supply, Josue was integral in the venue as it was awarded Best New Cocktail Bar in America at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards.

    In 2018 Josue moved to Washington DC to open and manage the bar at Seven Reasons, a Latin concept, with Enrique Limardo. The restaurant was named Best New Restaurant in America 2019 by Esquire Magazine.

    Josue brings his talents and experience back to Miami in his work with Unfiltered Hospitality and at The Sylvester Bar, where he makes experiences better for people in every facet of the service industry.

  • Operations Manager

    Originally from Minnesota, Justine started her career in hospitality during her studies at The University of St. Thomas. After moving to Colorado with her husband, she began a near decade-long career in craft beer, working from production to marketing and operations management for small to medium sized craft breweries. After moving back to Minnesota, Justine was elected to the Board of Directors for the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, serving in various seats, including Vice President, from 2019 - 2022.

  • Consulting Project Manager

    Robert Eldridge is a hospitality professional with over fifteen years of experience in the food and beverage industry. After bartending in high-volume bars in Atlanta, Georgia his mixology career began at the celebrity chef-driven restaurant Empire State South. Having the urge for a more tropical place to call home he moved to Miami in 2015 where he joined one of the top 50 best bars, The Broken Shaker, where he continued to develop award-winning cocktails. In 2022 he furthered his career and knowledge in beverage as the Spirits Specialist for the craft-driven distributor Maverick Beverage. He is now back in Miami working with the critically acclaimed hospitality consulting team Unfiltered.

    Jacob Mata grew up in the vibrant streets of Pensacola, Florida, where his love for hospitality was born. With over a decade of immersive experience, Jacob has seamlessly maneuvered through every facet of the industry, mastering both back-of-house and front-of-house operations with finesse.

    His dedication and talent were recognized in 2020 when he was named Inweekly's Best of the Coast Bartender, a testament to his exceptional skills and commitment to excellence. Jacob's impressive repertoire extends beyond bartending; he has steered the success of a brewery and led the helm of three cocktail bars in Pensacola, solidifying his reputation as a dynamic leader and industry veteran.

    Jacob embarks on an exciting new chapter in Miami, where he brings his unique expertise to Unfiltered Hospitality. With a passion for innovation and a keen understanding of customer satisfaction, Jacob continues to redefine standards and elevate experiences in the hospitality industry.

    A Florida native, Mason entered the industry early with a background in wine and spirits retail sales and is now a senior at Florida International University, receiving a Bachelors degree in Hospitality management with a focus in Beverage management.
